Buying a new home meant I was being constantly barraged with spam, scams, shady deals, and predatory mortgage lenders. Instead of trying to cold call me to get me to work with them The Union Bank was known and trusted by my realtor and on top of that they have been fantastically helpful. They worked with me, putting as much effort into buying a new home as I did. I had and have a primary point of contact who still is assisting me even now, weeks after the closing on my new home.

We have done multiple loans through Union Bank. Primarily with the Ottawa and Findlay branch. Our most recent loan was with Gayle in Lima, and she was SO on top of it. We had an extremely complicated title/deed process and she was always checking in and making sure parts and pieces were moving how they should so are rate wouldn't expire. We are always happy with Union Bank's service and expertise.

Honestly, I can't say enough amazing things about Sebastian Starud, The Union Bank and the work they did to get me my mortgage. This was my first time buying a house and, obviously, getting a mortgage. I was referred to them from a friend and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. Let's start with Sebastian. He was incredible, the perfect combination of high end customer service, speed and empathy. He was able to get me a great rate, had superior communication skills/style and helped me emotionally deal with the mess that was my mortgage situation. I purchased a brand new condo where the builder had filled the paperwork incorrectly, which ultimately, affected my mortgage and the process of obtaining one. After a month of hard work, using his connections in underwriting and at the mortgage dept., and having to get a second opinion from another bank, Sebastian got the deal done and with a lower rate and payment than our expectation. I HIGHLY recommend using him, you won't be disappointed. As for The Union Bank, I was very impressed. Their communication and professionalism while maintaining a warm and cordial relationship with me was top notch. Though my situation wasn't optimal, I am pleased with the result and will be recommending them to anyone who asks.
